Our terms, on one page
Plain words, so you know exactly what happens when you start your new website.
What you're getting
We're not registered for GST, so no GST is charged. If we register, GST is added from then and we tell you first.
The plan is the website on your preview page, on your own web address: five pages (Home, Services, About, Gallery and Quote) with everything on your current site carried into them, hosting, hours and holiday changes, small changes by email, and a yearly refresh of your photos and words.
Your first month is free
You add a card when you start. Nothing is charged for 30 days; cancel before then and you pay nothing.
Paying
After the free month, your card is charged once a month, on the same date. Payments are handled by our card payment provider; we never see or keep your card details. A receipt comes by email each time.
No lock-in
There's no minimum term and no fee for leaving. Cancel any time from the link in any receipt, or reply to any of our emails. The plan stops at the end of the month you've paid for.
The price
Your price is fixed for your first 12 months. After that it may change. If it does, we email you at least 30 days before, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Changes
Hours, holidays and small changes to words and photos are included. Before your site goes live you can ask for one round of changes.
What we need from you
- A short checklist, already filled in from your preview. You correct anything that's wrong and add photos if you like.
- Your word that you own, or are allowed to use, any logo, photos and words you send us.
- One setting where your web address is held. We send you a short note that says exactly what to change: follow it, or forward it to whoever looks after your web address.
Your web address
Your web address is part of your brand, so it's always in your business's name and paid by you to the company that holds it. We never hold, register or pay for one. If you don't have one yet, your checklist fills in every detail so you can register it in a couple of minutes.
Who owns what
Your web address, words, photos and logo are yours. The website's design and code are ours, and we keep them live and looked after for you while you're with us.
If a payment doesn't go through
The payment is tried again and you get an email. If it's still unpaid after 14 days, your web address shows a short page with your phone, email and address, so customers can still reach you. The moment it's paid, your site comes straight back.
If you leave
Your site comes down at the end of the month you've paid for. We email you every word and photo from it, and the one setting that points your web address wherever you like. Your email keeps working: we leave its settings in place for 90 days, so nothing breaks while you move.
Our responsibility
We look after your site with care and skill. Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded, and nothing in these terms limits them. Beyond those, and as far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost sales, and our total responsibility is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months.
Your details
We use your details only to build and look after your site, and to reply to you. Your card details are kept by our card payment provider, never by us. We never sell or share your details. If you don't go ahead, your private preview page is deleted after six weeks.
